"Train the Project" training was a very helpful week of one-on-one training that helped me get over some stumbling blocks and met my expectations. I think our instructor’s flexibility and adaptiviness was invaluable, since I could not stop work for an entire week to train in a more formal format. “Train the Project” is an excellent learning method once the students (such as myself) have had some initial training and some experience with the software programs and their own workflow. The best part was learning about all of the features built into the Revit programs that make life easier. You might think of it as the little stuff, but in reality the small stuff costs big time. Our sessions were a bit unorthodox since there really wasn't just one project, but many. I think that using many projects worked fabulously for someone like me with a little bit of experience and as a one-on-one session.

Our instructor was great, he had a great attitude and he really listened. In my opinion, his best quality was that he was very forthcoming with helpful / related knowledge about almost every subject. That and the fact that he was very easy-going about the logistics of his stay here. Our instructor seemingly knew about all of the features in each program and although he mostly works with architects, I think he adapted to our concerns on the construction side very well by allowing me to describe what we were looking for and coming up with ways to accomplish each goal. And he was able to provide reasoning and applicable background … no other training method provides these things in a relevant way. He was almost always able to solve a problem off the top of his head, but occasionally he would jump onto a website where he knew there was a solution and get the answer. This helped me too because it familiarized me with problem-solving skills related to this technology.

We didn’t use the courseware much but what we did use was great - simple and effective in demonstrating concepts that we then applied to actual projects. I absolutely recommend this course to others. I think that for firms with one or two individuals at the forefront of technology implementation, this training saves an incredible amount of time, effort and frustration. No matter what kind of training you have had, everyone runs into problems. This kind of training fills in those gaps and really revitalizes the whole process and people. Thanks CDV Systems!"
