Executive Briefing Presentation
The Executive Briefing Presentation is the first of a two-part BIM overview for office Board members, Principals, Senior Design staff and Project Managers of all trades. It's a 2.5 hour high level overview of BIM in the AEC industry and more specifically, its impact within an AEC firm. The meeting covers key strategies and the overall mindset for successfully implementing BIM firm-wide. Moving to BIM is not a CAD decision; it’s a business decision.
The success of BIM requires senior staff to have a clear understanding of the impact BIM will have to their way of doing business. This includes changes to client expectations, contracts, fee distributions and submission deliverables as well as BIM team expectations, changes to project work distribution, staffing, scheduling, and the importance of BIM Execution Plans. Also discussed will be BIM's effect on how work is currently being done, inclusion of current technology used with BIM, project team dynamics, reasonable expectations for your first few BIM projects and the required methodical implementation process of this new technology firm-wide.
CLIENTS ATTENDING THE Executive Briefings
The Executive Briefing Presentation was created at the request of HOK. They wanted this presentation for HOK's Senior Executives and Project Managers. These meetings culminated with a presentation to HOK’s 2005 Annual Board of Directors Meeting. Ten minutes after the presentation, HOK's Board of Directors unanimously voted to adopt Revit as the firm’s strategic CAD platform worldwide. To read more, click here.
