Project BIM MENTORING

CDV's BIM mentoring staff provides BIM support to the team members “as needed”. All team members meet in a conference room with a single networked computer connected to a projector. The CDV Specialist links to that computer, either on site or remotely, opens the team’s live project model or database files and each team member reads their questions aloud to the group. The CDV Specialist answers their questions using the project models or database files as the guide.
This allows the team members to stay on track with their project, avoid frustration with a new BIM software program and receive guidance through a short but steep learning curve. This also allows the CDV Specialist to review the BIM project files for proper management and logical organization. If the CDV Specialist discovers issues with the project files, it is raised with the team members and/or the project BIM leader.
