PROJECT BIM Implementation
for revit & codebook
Using the client’s existing office BIM Standards, CDV Systems can provide staffing to setup the Revit project models and/or CodeBook project database which are then passed to the client to continue their project work.
Past Revit projects set up by CDV have been single and multi-model which included architectural, structural and MEP models. The key focus for this type of work is the location of each model relative to other trade models and other buildings on the site. For example, once the common grids, levels, shared parameters, worksets and building foot print have been established in each model, CDV would link the models using Revit’s Shared Coordinates to properly position them to each other and in the site model.

Once the project setup is done, CDV would meet with the team members of all trades to review the models ensuring a clear knowledge transfer of the model structure.
CLIENTS WHO RECEIVED REVIT PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES
CodeBook project databases set up by CDV have been single and multi-model projects which also included architectural, structural and MEP models. The methods used to create these project databases varied. Project Programs were batch created into the database using excel files, batch loading room data from existing Revit models, or combination of both. The two required CodeBook libraries: Room Data Library and Equipment Library used the same batch loading methods. The CodeBook project database with its libraries would then be linked to the Revit models, Autocad files or Microstation files.
